If you have a certain function coming up and you’re racking your brain, trying to come up with the perfect form of entertainment that will actually keep everyone’s attention, why not try stage hypnosis? There are many hypnotists that specialize in stage hypnosis. Their fees vary so you should search around to find a hypnotist that is within your price range. The result, however, will undoubtedly be a great time had by all. Just make sure that someone brings a video camera.
The best part of stage hypnosis is seeing the people you know being hypnotized. If you’ve never seen a stage hypnosis show before, it’s hilarious. The hypnotist will select a few people from an audience and will invite them to sit in a row of chairs that have been placed on stage. The hypnotist will then take the volunteers through the stage hypnosis steps until they are all in an entranced state. That’s when the fun begins.
Sometimes, when the hypnotist has completed his stage hypnosis, there are a few people who are still conscious. The hypnotist will tell these people to go back to their seats as they aren’t hypnotized. The ones who remain, the hypnotist will tell them to do certain things, usually to the enjoyment of the audience.
For instance, during a stage hypnosis act, the hypnotist will tell the participants that it is suddenly getting very cold in the room. In fact, the temperature is close to freezing. Of course, to everyone in the audience, the temperature hasn’t changed, but to the people on stage it’s suddenly unbearably cold. They will actually begin to shiver.
Stage hypnosis is usually tailored to the audience. For instance, the hypnotist can do a racy stage hypnosis show for a younger, college type crowd, or he can do a tame one for a family reunion. Imagine Aunt Jenny dancing the ballet in front of everyone, not knowing that she’s even hypnotized.
Don’t Forget The Video Camera
The importance of bringing a video camera is so that the ones being hypnotized can actually see themselves acting how they did. The reaction is usually one of astonishment as they’ll have no recollection of the events. To them, they were hypnotized and then they woke up.
There are skeptics out there who say that stage hypnosis is fake and that the participants are all prepped before hand. Only the people on stage know for sure, however, if Aunt Jenny can’t dance and she can’t act, then that may give you some insight as to the authenticity of stage hypnosis.
