How to Learn Self Hypnosis

Want to learn self hypnosis? It’s an excellent skill to acquire, especially if you’re by nature a tense person, or are under a lot of stress.

You can learn self hypnosis from books, CDs, or DVDs.

The process has three steps: relaxation, the suggestions you give yourself, and finally the return to waking consciousness.

Many people make use of self hypnosis scripts, which they read into a tape recorder, and then listen to. However, for a simple set of suggestions, a script isn’t necessary, although it does help to write down your suggestions so that they’re clear in your mind.

The suggestion phase

Once you’re completely relaxed, you can give yourself your suggestions.

Just talk to yourself and sell your subconscious mind what you want to achieve.

You might say, “I am eating less and losing weight daily.”  Your suggestions are like affirmations in a sense - they’re in the present tense, and they’re positive statements.
